(Vienna, Austria, 1912 - São Paulo, São Paulo, 1987). Painter, designer, teacher. He began his artistic studies with the Austrian sculptor (his uncle) Siegfried Charoux. Moved to Brazil in 1928, settling in São Paulo. In the 1930s, he enrolled at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios in São Paulo (Laosp), where he met Waldemar da Costa (1904 - 1982), with whom, from 1940, studied painting. Subsequently he teached drawing at the Lyceum of Arts and Crafts. In 1947 held his first solo exhibition at Galeria Itapetininga. From 1948, Charoux turns to constructive questions. In 1952, he participated in the foundation of Grupo Ruptura, along with Waldemar Cordeiro, and Geraldo de Barros. Along with Hermelindo Fiaminghi and Luiz Sacilotto created the NT group - New Trends Visual Arts Association- in 1963. He held his first retrospective at the. Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM / RJ) in 1974.
